Shakespeare Health Centre is looking for a salaried GP (Tier 2 sponsorship available for eligible candidates). We are a forward-thinking practice with a list of around 5,800 patients, using EMIS Web.

About the practice

• 2 partners and 3 salaried GPs

• 2 clinical pharmacists plus ARRS staff including physiotherapy, mental health and dietetics

• Teaching practice for medical students, physician associates, pharmacists and GP registrars

• Strong administrative support with efficient document and prescription workflows

• Clinical pharmacists support long-term condition management

• Regular clinical and educational meetings; consistently high QOF achievement

• Home visits are rare (typically 1–2 per month); community matron covers routine visits

The role

• 4–6 sessions per week

• 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave (pro rata)

• Defence union fees covered under Crown Indemnity (additional cover for private work)

• NHS pension

• Competitive salary from £11,000 per session (£44k–£66k per year, pro rata for part time)

Key responsibilities

Telephone and face-to-face consultations; prescribing; chronic disease management; health promotion; emergency care; collaboration with the wider team; participation in audit and practice policies.
