A Patient Participation Group (PPG) brings together volunteer patients and practice staff to discuss how services could work better for everyone.

What a PPG is

Patient participation means patients and the practice working together to improve services. It is flexible and based on cooperation.

A PPG is not a complaints forum (though themes from complaints may be discussed to improve care), a fan club, or a heavy time commitment.

Our aims

• Build a positive relationship between patients and staff

• Give patients a voice in the practice

• Find practical improvements that make a real difference

• Research what matters to patients and discuss findings with the practice

• Encourage patients to take an active role in their health

Why it matters

For patients: more involvement in your care, better communication, and a forum for ideas.

For the practice: joint planning, help meeting targets, stronger links with the community.

How to take part

We want our PPG to represent all our patients. We offer a regular meeting group (when safe to do so) and a virtual PPG by email for those who cannot attend in person.
